The Danish singer, guitarist, and composer Thorbjørn Risager marked 2020 with the album “Come On In”, which came out in January.
With backing from his longstanding band (albeit with some changes in personnel), The Black Tornado, Risager makes a strong show of his commitment to blues music. His modern style of blues is punctuated by an atmosphere that is occasionally taut (“Never Givin’ In”), occasionally easy-going (”Nobody But The Moon” and “Over The Hill”), and occasionally ethereal (“On And On” and ”Two Lovers”).
