MOLLY TUTTLE
So Long Little Miss Sunshine (2025)
In the title of her fifth album, "So Long Little Miss Sunshine", Molly Tuttle bids farewell to her old self tied to bluegrass and country music genres and successfully ventures into the territory of high-end pop. The Californian singer, songwriter, and virtuoso guitarist, who emerged on the US neo-traditionalist and bluegrass scene in recent years, has put together twelve tracks for a chameleonic and multifaceted album, starting with the cover, on which Molly wears different wigs but also appears bald, as she is in reality due to a rare form of alopecia contracted as a child.
"So Long Little Miss Sunshine" was recorded with excellent musicians: drummers and percussionists Jay Bellerose and Fred Eltringham, bassist Byron House, producer Jay Joyce on various instruments, and Tuttle's partner and co-writer Jay Ketcham Miller "Ketch" Secor (leader of the band Old Crow Medicine Show) on banjo, violin, and harmonica.
