Surrounded by famous artists (Keb' Mo', Robert Randolph, The Rebirth Brass Band, Joe Walsh, Kim Wilson, Pastor Brady Blade Sr., Ringo Starr, Warren Haynes) and backed by a numerous band (Noah Hunt on vocals, Chris "Whipper" Layton on drums, Tony Franklin on bass and Riley Osbourne on keyboards), in 2014 Kenny Wayne Shepherd released his self-produced album "Goin' Home", a shot of invigorating blues music.
Twelve tracks (the deluxe edition has three more tracks than the basic edition) that draw inspiration from the repertoire of many famous blues artists such as B.B. King, James Cotton, Muddy Waters, Johnny Guitar Watson, Earl King and many others.
The guitar prowess Shepherd has always shown reaches heights of supreme refinement in "Goin' Home", shooting sparks of pure enthusiasm through listeners with his mix of forceful slashes and delicately picked out notes.
