David Gray seems to have returned to the glory days of "Babylon" (a hit song from the 1998 album "White Ladder"). In fact, "Dear Life", officially released on January 17, 2025, includes one of his high-profile pop compositions with great potential, "Plus & Minus", which he began writing in 2004 and only recently completed.
The other fourteen songs on "Dear Life" also took a long time and a lot of care to produce. The album follows important personal changes and tells of emotional crises and important decisions, mortality and faith, reality and illusion, love and heartbreak, magic, science, loss, and acceptance.
