Emmanuel Lynn Gales (known by his stage name Little Jimmy King and who died in Memphis on July 19, 2002) was Eric Gales' older brother. The latter pays tribute to his late relative and renowned guitarist with the release of the album with the eloquent title "Eric Gales Presents A Tribute To JLK Little Jimmy King".
The album was made possible thanks to the participation of special guests such as Joe Bonamassa, Josh Smith (both also producers of the album), Christone "Kingfish" Ingram, Buddy Guy (friend of Little Jimmy King), and Roosevelt Collier.
All the tracks (except the opening "U Shouldn't Have Left Me" by B.B. King and J. Josea) are written by Emmanuel Lynn Gales, a guitarist appreciated for his unorthodox and original style, whose stage name was a tribute to his two favorite guitarists (left-handed like him) Jimi Hendrix and Albert King (in whose band Gales had played).
