In 2023, William "Bill" LaBounty (who had previously co-written hits for artists such as Brooks & Dunn, Tanya Tucker, Jimmy Buffett, Gino Vannelli, Randy Crawford, and Peter Cetera) met musician and impresario Frederic Schwarcz, who arranged two shows for him at the New Morning Club in Paris. There, the American musician met producer, arranger, singer, and keyboardist Jean Luc Leonardon (leader of Doctor Wu, a popular Steely Dan cover band), who participated in the recording sessions for the 2026 album "Love At The End Of The World", on which Schwarcz and Leonardon themselves are credited as co-producers.
The horn arrangements, orchestrated by Erick Poirier, add an extra touch of elegance and dynamism to ten songs already characterized by their own high level of sophistication.
