Founded in 2013 by students enrolled at the University Of Washington in Seattle, the band The Dip has managed, in little more than a decade, to gain a prominent place in the world of contemporary soul, rhythm&blues and funk.
Fresh off the successful sales of "Sticking With It" (2022), The Dip does not disappoint fans of bubbly, spirited notes with the album "Love Direction" released in 2024 by Dualtone Music, the same record label for which the previous "Sticking With It" was recorded.
The unstoppable energy conveyed by "Love Direction"'s 11 tracks is provided by the six members of The Dip: Tom Eddy (vocals, guitar and author of most of the album's songs), Jarred Katz (drums and percussion), Mark Hunter (bass, double bass and piano), Brennan Carter (trumpet and flugelhorn), Evan Smith (baritone saxophone, alto saxphone and flute) and Levi Gillis (tenor saxophone and bass clarinet).
