Corey Allender at the bass, Brian Carey at the drums, Dave Heumann at the guitar and voice, Matthew Pierce at the keyboard, synthesizers and percussions constitute the formation Arbouretum.
The band from Baltimore succeeds in building a sound so original that it can be recognized by the first note of each one of the eight tracks of the recent “Coming Out Of The Fog”.
The CD is the fifth record by the quintet and it shows a captivating blend of blues, linear rock and psychedelic but courteous traits where Heumann's creative passion finds immaculate and ideal territories for dreamy musical constructions (as in the case of “Oceans Don't Sing” and of the amazing “Coming Out Of The Fog”), sometimes liberatingly profane (“The Promise”) other times even immense (“World Split Open”).
All eight tracks of “Coming Out Of The Fog” have been performed by the band in its entirety, while the lyrics have been written by Heumann alone or together with the guitarist and singer-songwriter Rob Wilson (also from Baltimore), adventure companion in the formation Television Hill.
