MISSING CATS
Larry Brown Amen (2012)
Missing Cats is born from the willpower of the two musicians and friends John “JoJo” Hermann (keyboardist, singer and composer, member of the formation Widespread Panic) and the singer/composer Sherman Ewing (owner of two solo albums “Bluemoon” and “Single Room Saloon”, published respectively in 2002 and 2011).
After having performed in countless concerts as a duo and having composed numerous songs, they published in 2012 the debut album “Larry Brown Amen”.
Twelve tracks (plus a hidden one placed after “Vinyl Persuasion”) that highlight the splendid compositive vein of the two artists, performed with considerable mastery and involvement.
Assisting Hermann and Ewing, there are (not acting as “guest”, but as if they were for all intents and purposes members of Missing Cats) musicians the likes of Sam Bush (excellent mandolin virtuoso), Luther and Cody Dickinson (North Mississippi Allstars), the drummer Chad Cromwell (militant in Mark Knopfler’s band), the bassist Mike Mills (R.E.M.), the guitarists Anthony Krizan (Spin Doctors) and Guthrie Trapp.
“Larry Brown Amen” has been produced by Jon Randall Stewart (present also in some songs as voice and guitar) and it has been recorded in the Westwood Studios & Genghis Khan’s Palace situated in the district of Berry Hill, Nashville, Tennessee.
