A parallel band of The Decemberists, Black Prairie released its third album entitled "Fortune" in 2014.
Brought to life by Chris Funk and Nate Query (guitarist and bassist, respectively, of The Decemberists) because they wanted to perform in a band that used mainly string instruments, the five-member band Black Prairie has become a polestar for lovers of acoustic, folk and bluegrass music with terrific allusions to traditional American music.
