Four years after Mojo, the record market offers the new work of Tom Petty accompanied by the faithful Heartbreakers.
"Hypnotic Eye" confirms again the clean lines of the rock offered by the musician from Gainesville (Florida, United States): a rock with no frills, straightforward and rousing, simple but never trivial.
Eleven tracks in which Petty's songwriting vein finds a perfect counterpoint in the passionate playing of Mike Campbell (guitar), Benmont Tench (keyboards), Scott Thurston (guitar, harmonica), Ron Blair (bass) and Steve Ferrone (drums, percussion).
The tracks were recorded between 2011 and 2014. The album was produced by Tom Petty, Mike Campbell and Ryan Ulyate (who also sings in the chorus in the track "Sins Of My Youth").
