After archiving his flat 2004 release “The Place You’re In” (hopefully for good…), in his latest works Kenny Wayne Shepherd has gone back to playing rock-blues.
His 2017 album “Lay It Down” is there to prove it: the electric guitar mastered by the artist hailing from Shreveport (Louisiana, USA) swings punches in every direction, sometimes trailing over the borders of blues and straight into decidedly rock territories.
