A full immersion into funky and blues music is what is on offer on Sweet Pea Atkinson’s 2017 album entitled “Get What You Deserve”.
A great voice, an accurate production (split between Don Was and Keb’ Mo’), excellent supporting musicians (in addition to the aforementioned Don Was and Keb’ Mo’, Randy Jacobs on the guitar and Marcus Miller on the bass) make “Get What You Deserve” a truly fulfilling release.
