THE LONG RYDERS
Psychedelic Country Soul (2019)
Among the most illustrious members of the musical phenomenon that exploded in the first half of the eighties, called “Paisley Underground” (characterized by a bright folk rock with exciting psychedelic trace), The Long Ryders returns after thirty years with the CD entitled “Psychedelic Country Soul”, a disc with a title that perfectly sums up the American band’s musical offering: graceful country music, streaked with compelling soul and generous helpings of cheerful psychedelia.
In “Psychedelic Country Soul” there is only one track not written by the band members: it is “Walls”, composed by the late Tom Petty and originally included in the soundtrack of the 1996 film “Songs And Music From She's The One”.
