Ever since they formed in Los Angeles in 2007, Dustbowl Revival have set their artistic sights on creating as balanced as possible a mix of the most varied musical genres, including rock, soul, bluegrass, swing, country, pop, and folk.
Their 2020 album ”Is It You, Is It Me” might be viewed as the deserved award for their efforts: thirteen sumptuously balanced tracks walking the line between pleasing ballads and laudable song-writing instincts – and between upmarket pop and straight rock. Excellent examples of this include the pin-sharp “Just One Song” and the soothing “Mirror”, both written by Z. Lupetin, the band’s leader and singer (with Liz Beebe).
