ERIC BIBB
Ridin' (2023)
A native of New York City, son of folk musician Leon Bibb and grandson of pianist and composer John Lewis of the Modern Jazz Quartet, guitarist and singer Eric Bibb has been offering, since his 1977 recording debut "Rainbow People", a shrewd miscellany of soul, folk and, above all, blues music.
Not escaping this artistic distinctiveness is the album "Ridin'", released in March 2023, also made with the support of such rank guests as Henry St.Claire Fredericks (aka Taj Mahal), Jontavious Willis, Russell Malone, Habib Koitè, Canadian guitarist Harrison Kennedy, and Tuareg musician Amar "the bluesman of the desert" Sundy.
