NATALIE MERCHANT
Keep Your Courage (2023)
For more than a decade a member of the band 10,000 Maniacs, Natalie Merchant comes (after a nine-year absence) to the record market in 2023 with "Keep Your Courage", the eighth album of her honored solo career and one of the year's most elegant episodes.
In addition, on "Keep Your Courage" the U.S. singer-songwriter (she was born in 1963 in Jamestown, Chautauqua County, New York State) has surrounded herself with such esteemed guests as singer Abena Koomson-Davis, Irish band Lùnasa, and trombonist Steve "Stevie-D" Davis, the latter also involved in the horn arrangement on the inspired "Come On, Aphrodite" and "Tower Of Babel".
