From his well-deserved place in the Olympus of rock music thanks to his prestigious militancy in the Pink Floyd lineup, guitarist David Gilmour can afford to own a small number of solo records and make his admirers wait nine years since the previous "Rattle And Lock" for a new studio song release.
"Luck And Strange" sees the light of day in September 2024 and delivers to a wide audience not only the now-proven collaboration with his wife Polly Samson (songwriter), but also the official entry into the recording world of his daughter Romany. The youngest of Gilmour's eight children appears on vocals and harp in the song "Between Two Points" and the related promotional video directed by Gavin Elder.
