The ten sparkling and irresistible tracks on "The Bywater Sessions" were recorded in the New Orleans neighborhood of the same name, co-produced by London-born singer, bandleader, and multi-instrumentalist Jon Cleary (piano, guitar, and percussion) together with John Porter (member of Uncle Dog and collaborator with Roxy Music, The Smiths, Taj Mahal) and played live by Absolute Monster Gentlemen, a dynamic big band composed of musicians from groups such as Lettuce, Ronnie Scott's All Stars, MonoNeon, Ledisi, Delfeayo Marsalis & The Uptown Jazz Orchestra, Galactic, Squirrel Nut Zippers, and Preservation Hall Jazz Stars.
