LITTLE STEVEN AND THE DISCIPLES OF SOUL

Little Steven is the stage name of Steven Lento (who later became Steven Van Zandt when his mother remarried, in 1957, becoming the wife of William Brewster Van Zandt). He is a member of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band and collaborates with Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes (he has produced several hit albums and composed numerous songs for this band) and also with Gary US Bond.
The experience with his band, The Disciples of Soul, began in 1982 with the album Men Without Women, and then continued with music steeped in rhythm & blues, soul and full-bodied rock.
The 2019 record, Summer Of Sorcery, is a joyful collection not only of the musical genres mentioned above, but also of funky, Latin music and sumptuous ballads. A sagacious mixture enhanced by a powerful wind section and a lively chorus of female voices.
Summer Of Sorcery is arranged and produced by Little Steven himself and was recorded for his record label, Wicked Cool Records.
