EDIE CAREY

The American singer songwriter Edie Carey, perceptive composer, weaver of exquisite sounds and sophisticated, powerfully communicative interpreter releases her new album "The Veil" (following a successful and fortunate crowdfunding campaign).
The album, produced by Scott Wiley (guitarist, founder of the June Audio Recording Studios in Provo, Utah, and collaborator with artists including Bonnie Raitt, Truman Brothers, Mercy River, Nik Day, The Killers, Neon Trees and others), also features as guests the Canadian singer-songwriter Rose Cousins (on the rhythmic "Rise" and on the powerful "All That Space"), the American Megan Burtt (also a member of the band Gingerbomb) on the excellent "The Chain", the Californian singer and multi-instrumentalist Mai Bloomfield on "I Know This" and the captivating "The Cypress And The Oak", and Sarah Sample (star of the wonderful album "Redwing", also produced by Wiley) on "Teacher".
Carey says about the twelve tracks of "The Veil": "They are songs of separation, healing, freedom, acceptance and letting go."
