Hunter And The Dog Star (2021)
Born in Oak Cliff (one of the oldest neighbourhoods of Dallas, Texas) on 10 March 1966, in February 2021 the singer-songwriter Edie Arlisa Brickell (married to Paul Simon since 1992) released the eclectic album “Hunter And The Dog Star”.
Recorded with the historic band New Bohemians, it has eleven tracks all composed by Brickell along with other members of the band (except “Horse’s Mouth”, which she wrote alone).
The result is just over 40 minutes of graceful and extremely enjoyable rock, an astute mix of luxurious pop, funk and folk, an explosion of joyful optimism that transcends the music.
“Hunter And The Dog Star” is produced by Kyle Crusham, sound engineer, singer, multi-instrumentalist, composer of soundtracks for movies and who has already worked on previous albums by Edie Brickell, Christopher Cross, The Arc Angels, Ben Harper and many more.
