BARRY GIBB

Greenfields The Gibb Brothers' Songbook Vol. 1 (2021)

Barry Gibb founded the band the Bee Gees, together with his brothers Maurice and Robin (both deceased in 2003 and 2012 respectively).
A lover of the country genre, January 2021 sees the launch of his third soloist work (after “Now Voyager” in 1984 and “In The Now” in 2016) “Greenfields – The Gibb Brothers’ Songbook Vol.1” collaborating with a number of the most popular artists in US country music.
With Dave Cobb’s expert production help, Barry Gibb brings new life to a number of the Bee Gees’ enormously successful hits thanks to contributions by artists of the calibre of Sheryl Crow, Jason Isbell, Tommy Emmanuel, Little Big Town, Dolly Parton, Keith Urban, Brandi Carlile, Alison Krauss and many more.
Famous and successful hits move away from the confines of the luxurious pop originals in the direction of a light, suave rock.
Revisited pieces include “How Deep Is Your Love” (enriched by the high-ranking guitar of Tommy Emmanuel), “How Can You Mend A Broken Heart” (with the excellent vocals of Sheryl Crow), “Run To Me” (with Gibb’s voice accompanied by the splendid Brandi Carlile and the notes of producer Dave Cobb’s and Jason Isbell’s guitars).
