DAMON FOWLER
Sounds Of Home (2014)
A favorite of the rockpartyshow (his albums Sugar Shack and Devil Got His Way were "recommendeddisc" in 2009 and 2011, their respective years of release), Damon Fowler ushers in 2014 with one of his most captivating and passionate CDs. The excellent result obtained with Sounds Of Home is due not only to Fowler's skill as a guitarist, composer and singer, but also to the support of Tab Benoit as producer and co-writer of four songs with Fowler, and the contribution of talented musicians such as Chuck Riley on bass, James McKnight on drums, Big Chief Monk Boudreaux on vocals (in the song that gives the title to the CD) and Benoit himself.
"Sounds Of Home" was recorded (for the San Francisco label Blind Pig Records) at the Whiskey Bayou Studios owned by Tab Benoit. And Louisiana's atmosphere certainly helped to instill that fiery and compelling note into Damon Fowler's blues rock.
