THE LUMINEERS
Brightside (2022)
Founded in 2005 by two friends, Wesley Schultz (lead vocals and guitar) and Jeremiah Fraites (drums), joined in 2009 by the cellist Neyla Pekarek (member of the band until 2018), the American band The Lumineers release one of the first splendid recording jewels of 2022.
Officially released on 14 January, "Brightside" is an exquisite progression of emotions impregnated with folk and "americana", a powerhouse of seductive fluid melodies (a prime example of this is the captivating ballad "Big Shot"): nine tracks written by Schultz and Fraites, except for "Remington" and the final track "Reprise", both written by the founding members along with Simone Felice (producer of the album along with David Baron, sound engineer and responsible also for the mixing).
