JIMMY HALL
Ready Now (2022)
With the state of Alabama in his heart (he was born, in 1949, in Birmingham and grew up in Mobile), U.S. musician Jimmy Hall achieves notoriety thanks to his militancy in the band Wet Willie, in whose ranks he holds the roles of singer, saxophonist and harmonica player.
Holder of enthralling episodes of rockblues and southern rock (among which it is worth mentioning the one released in 2007 entitled "Build Your Own Fire"), Jimmy Hall frequents the record market again thanks to the album "Ready Now" produced by the two guitarists Joe Bonamassa and Josh Smith.
Eleven songs played with vehemence and class by such rank musicians as the aforementioned Bonamassa and Smith, Reese Wynans (keyboards), Jade MacRae (bass), and Greg Morrow (drums). They are joined by Warren Haynes, engaged on slide guitar on the album's title track.
