THE DECEMBERISTS
What A Terrible World, What A Beautiful World (2015)
The band The Decemberists was already a rockpartyshow's darling (the album "The King Is Dead" has been recommendedalbum and at twenty-ninth position among the best 50 CDs of 2011 of the web radio of rockandrock music). In 2015 with they appear with a new discographic work "What A Terrible World, What A Beautiful World".
The fourteen compositions revolve around the world of folk rock, that is an environment where the band from Portland (Oregon, United States) feel at ease, and they are masterfully interpreted by Colin Meloy (vocals, guitars and author of all the tracks in the collection too), Chris Funk (guitars), Jenny Conlee (keyboards), Nate Query (bass) and John Moen (drums and percussions).
The production in entrusted to The Decemberists together with the trusted Tucker Martine.
Some intrusions (even if fleeting) of Irish music, of highly refined pop, and of kind country make the CD even more captivating and enjoyable.
